Foreigners inciting singaporeans to hate foreigners

Da fug?! Who would have known that The Real Singapore is actually The Real Australia-Singapore (TRAS)? So all these while, the source of all the online hate towards foreigners actually comes from a foreigner. Oh, the irony of it.

But then again, based on what I found online, writing xenophobic articles is a lucrative business in Singapore! From google, TRAS is earning US$ 983 a day and is worth US$ 707, 760!!!! Seriously, that's ALOT of money to be made in egging Singaporeans on to hate their government and hate their foreign guests. Damnit! I should have started a site like this myself if I had known that I can make this much moolah instead of my boring desk job. After all, I'm just capitalising on the current negative online sentiments against the government and the pesky foreigners that come to steal our jobs/education/women blah blah blah. Now, we can even add 'stealing our alternative media' to the list.

Anyhoo...I suppose all that money earned from stirring shit can now potentially be used to pay off any penalties or legal fees if they are charged and claim trial. Not forgetting the many many 'famous' people who were looking for them to sue them for fraud and defamation.

At least the money made off Singaporeans' backs may be returned to true blue Singaporeans. That's karma for you.

Things are not looking too good for WP or PAP

Actually I think that many Singaporeans secretly don't really care too much about the nitty gritty details about the management of town councils. I mean, seriously, don't we have better things to do than to pour through some 20 pages of audit report. I'd much rather go fly a kite thankewverymuch (but recently really quite windy, perfect weather to have picnic and fly kites at Marina Barrage). As long as our estates are clean and well-maintained, essential amenities and services are easily accessible and available, and conservancy charges are reasonable, people won't complain too much (I think). Usually people only start to make noise when their lives are affected by an inconvenience or having to cough up more money, but that's not the point.

Anyhoo this to-ing and fro-ing between the PAP and WP over municipal book-keeping just looks so childish and silly to me. In trying to one-up each other, they expose their own short-comings and end up shooting their own feet.

To the WP: You guys really look like you're struggling to run more than one constituency. And if you can't even manage the books for 3 town councils, it doesn't really say very much about your ability to potentially manage the whole of Singapore. It also doesn't help matters much when you choose to keep quiet everytime an issue like this comes up - people want explanations, excuses, anything but silence. Silence makes you look stupid for your mistakes and makes us look stupid for voting for you.

To the PAP: You guys should make sure that before you throw stones at other people's town council, your own town council is not made of glass. The issue of conflict of interest is particularly worth highlighting because people have brought up so many instances where there could be a potential conflict of interest between PAP and PAP-related entities e.g. AIM, E M services, OKP Holdings etc. So, don't say I didn't warn you...

At the end of the day, I think people won't remember all these politicking between parties but they will remember and vote for the party that will deliver tangible policies with results that reflect an increase in the standards of living of the people.
